Up to now we've been dealing with situations that are awkward or unpleasant. But there is another class of problems that can get you fired or land you in jail. I sincerely hope that you never have to encounter one of these. I'll talk about a couple of issues where there may be a gray area - like whether a gift is a bribe or not. In general, if a situation makes you uneasy, that's your conscience telling you to stop and think before you act. And the old adage "Don't do anything you wouldn't want to see on the front page of the newspaper" is good advice. I would also add that anything you have to rationalize with a complicated argument before you feel ok with it is also suspect.
